Chris Chapman truly believes that God has called him to be an influence in the lives of students. Ever since he went on a mission trip to Haiti in 2011, he has felt God’s call on his life to teach and make a difference. He recently graduated in 2014 from Truett-McConnell College with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and a minor in the Great Commission. Each and every day, he is following that call in multiple areas of his life.
First, Chris serves God through our youth ministry here at Pine Crest. God is using Chris in our youth program every week! He has organized movie nights, bible studies, game nights, and much more. One of his life verses sums up his ministry here at Pine Crest: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12 NIV)
When Chris is not serving at Pine Crest, he also teaches full-time at Spout Springs School of Enrichment in 2nd grade! He has the opportunity to model Christ to the young students each and every day at SSSE. He wants to honor God by living a life worthy of his calling. Through his teaching, Chris has been amazed at how God is using him to serve the community through public education.
Chris loves hiking, rock climbing, singing, and teaching. He is also a huge Kentucky Wildcat fan! GO CATS! In everything he does, he wants to serve God and obey the call that He has placed on his life.
